Gregors Frau singt ein Lied.  

Gregors Frau ist in der Küche.  

Gregors Frau ist sehr, sehr glücklich.  

Sie backt Weihnachtsbäckerei.  

Der Advent ist eine schöne Zeit. 

Gregors Frau tut alles, um Gregor glücklich zu machen.  

Und Gregor ist auch glücklich.  

Gregor freut sich auf Weihnachten. 

Gregor hat ein schönes Geschenk für seine Frau gekauft. 

Etwas sehr Teures.  

Zumindest will Gregor seine Frau das glauben lassen. 

Letztes Jahr hat Gregor seiner Frau einen wunderschönen Mantel geschenkt, 

den er von Plachuta's bekommen hat.  

Gregors Frau war nicht sehr glücklich darüber.  

Er sah genau so aus wie der Mantel, der ihrer Schwester gehörte. 

Tatsächlich war es der Mantel, der ihrer Schwester gehörte. 

Gregor ist nicht dumm.  

Dieses Jahr hat er eine echte Überraschung für seine Frau.

 

Gregor's wife is singing a song.  Gregor's wife is in the kitchen.  Gregor's wife is very, very happy.  She is baking Christmas Cookies.  Advent is a wonderful time. Gregor's wife does everything to make Gregor happy.  And, Gregor is happy as well.  Gregor's looking forward to Christmas. Gregor has bought a wonderful present for his wife. Something very expensive.  At least, that's what Gregor wants his wife to believe. Last year, Gregor gave his wife a wonderful coat which he got from Plachuta's.  Gregor's wife was not very happy.  It looked exactly the same as the coat that belonged to her sister. In fact, it was the one that belonged to her sister. Gregor's not silly.  This year, he has a real surprise.

Letzten Sonntag war es in Wien kalt und neblig.  

Wir sind mit dem Zug nach Salzburg gefahren. 

In Salzburg war das Wetter schön.  

Ein sehr blauer Himmel und Sonnenschein. 

Kaiserwetter. 

Salzburg hat ein ganz besonderes Gefühl.  

Ein Gefühl von sehr hoher Kultur.  

Eine Geschichte der Religion.  

Ein Gefühl von Macht und Stärke.  

Salzburg hat viele sehr gute Restaurants.  

Wir sind in den Stiegel Keller gegangen.  

Ein traditionelles Restaurant, das nicht in einem Keller ist. 

Der Stiegel Keller ist im 2. Stock eines sehr alten Hauses.  

Vom Stiegel Keller hat man einen sehr schönen Blick über Salzburg. 

Zum Mittagessen haben wir Entenbraten gegessen.  

Zum Nachtisch hatten wir Salzburger Nockerln. 

Es war sehr lecker.  

Um kurz nach 6 Uhr sind wir wieder in Wien angekommen.  

Es war dunkel, neblig und feucht.

It was cold and foggy in Vienna last Sunday.  We took the train to Salzburg. In Salzburg the weather was fine.  A very blue sky and sunshine. Kaiser Wetter. Salzburg has a very special feeling.  A feeling of very high culture.  A history of religion.  A feeling of power and strength.  Salzburg has many very fine restaurants.  We went to the Stiegel Keller.  A traditional restaurant that's not in a cellar. The Stiegel Keller is on the 2nd floor of a very old house.  From the Stiegel Keller, one has a very nice view over Salzburg. We had roast duck for lunch.  For sweet, we had Salzburger Nockerln. It was delicious.  We arrived home in Vienna at just after 6.  Dark, foggy and damp.
